About the artist

In recent years, I have explored several aspects of seasonal depression expressing them with oil on canvas or simply drawing on a piece of paper. Often I won’t know what I’m going to paint until I start.

Over the past 30 years, I have studied different techniques of oil painting and have worked with a variety of mediums and materials. My personal preference, however, is to work with oils on Masonite because it allows me to be more detailed and express my feelings more clearly. In recent years, I have exhibited my works throughout northern New Jersey including the Montclair Art Museum, the Visual Art Center in Summit, the West Orange Arts Council and the West Orange Public Library. In addition, I am member of the Student Art League of New York. For me every brushstroke counts, and I am planning to pursue oil painting for the rest of my life.
